    Contacts and Resources

The mission of the Counseling Department at Jackson-Via Elementary is to create a safe and supportive atmosphere that ensures all students are personally, socially, and academically successful. Our school counselor and other mental health staff provide developmentally appropriate individual and group counseling activities for students. Additionally, the school counselor teaches a counseling class in all classrooms to support social and emotional learning. These activities help students build self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making, and self-regulation skills. Please reach out for additional information or to discuss a family or student concern.
